Let's Do It Again!

I'm going to do it again.  That's right. I'm going to host another show.  Well, kinda, sorta.  My good friend Chris Base has invited me to join him once a month for a couple of hours within his show, "Baseline with Chris Base" on Urban Broadcast Media (UBM).  So it's going to be a show within a show.  Rather Shakespearean don't you think?  I know what that means, but if you don't, it's okay.  It's a reference to a MidSummer Night's Dream, which happens to be one of the few things that I remember about it...it was a play within a play.

Well, let me tell you a little about what my plans, vision or thoughts are for this blog.  I really don't have much of a plan, but my vision for it is to be really organic--just top of mind.  Whatever comes
into my mind, or whatever I want to share...I will.  I do plan to post a whole lot of stuff that I like; music, pictures, recipes, news, music...did I say music?  Also, links, commentary, affirmations, critiques...basically whatever I want.  This will occasionally include politics, but not too much.  I like politics...a lot.  But, I'm not so sure that politicians really engage in politics anymore.  It seems to be about dealmaking, character-wrecking, deception, self-aggrandizement and covering your a-double-s. That to me is not what politics is, or should be about. Sure, some of that will occur, just by the nature of the beast.  But now it seems to me that's what it's become...and that's all.  Maybe I'll develop a little fever for it, and a more optimistic view of it as we move closer to the election.

I don't know exactly when I'll start with Chris...but it's soon. And...I'll post it!
